Where Jim picks up
Cabins in Sautee, Cleveland and Unicoi, the hotels along the river, Unicoi State Park, the campgrounds up 75 and 356, and Dahlonega, Clarkesville and Hiawassee. If you can text an address, Jim can find it.

On a festival Saturday the lots downtown fill by early afternoon, the river road backs up, and the walk from wherever you finally park is longer than the stein line. Jim drops you at the door and picks you up at the door.
The other reason is the drive home. The roads from Helen to the cabins are dark, winding and full of deer, and nobody at the Festhalle should be the designated driver. Jim lives five minutes from downtown, so a late pickup is no trouble.

The van carries seven, so a whole cabin rides together for one fare. Bachelor and bachelorette weekends, birthday trips and the annual friends' weekend all fit.

Is there Uber or Lyft at Helen Oktoberfest?
Rideshare in Helen is thin at the best of times and unreliable on festival nights, when everyone is trying to leave at once. Jim is booked ahead, so the ride back to the cabin is confirmed before you order your first beer.
Where is the Helen Festhalle?
The Festhalle is on Edelweiss Strasse in downtown Helen. Jim drops you at the door and meets you there afterward, so you never deal with the lots.

Yes. ATL to Helen is about $199 in the sedan or $238 in the van, one way, with your flight tracked. Book both the airport run and the Festhalle nights at once.
Does Jim wait while we are at the Festhalle?
Two ways to do it. Book a round trip and text him when you are ready, and he comes back from five minutes away. Or keep him for the evening on the day rate and he waits, which makes sense if you have dinner first or a second stop.
What about the drive home late at night?
That is the point. Pickups after midnight add $30, and otherwise it is the normal fare. Jim knows the roads to the cabins in the dark.
