Pickups from ATL
Same fares in the other direction. Give Jim your flight number and he watches it land. Curbside about 40 minutes after a domestic arrival, about 90 minutes after international for customs and bags. A delay does not cost you the ride.
What can add to the fare
Weekday rush hour pickup (6:30–9:00 AM, 2:30–7:00 PM) adds $15. Pickups between midnight and 5:00 AM add $30. Holidays and the day before add $30. Cards add 3.99%. Those amounts are fixed, and nothing goes up with demand.

When Jim picks you up.
Jim's rule of thumb is two hours at the airport for a domestic flight and three for international, plus the drive. From Helen that means a pickup about four hours before a domestic departure. From Dahlonega, about three and a half.
Type your flight time into the booking form and it suggests the pickup for you. Early flights are the reason people book Jim instead of hoping for a rideshare at 4 AM in the mountains.
At the airport
- Delta and Delta Connection use the Domestic South terminal.
- American, United, Southwest, Spirit, Frontier, JetBlue and Alaska use Domestic North.
- International carriers use the Maynard H. Jackson International Terminal. Tell Jim which one and he drops you at the right door.
Luggage
The sedan carries three people with two large suitcases or four small. The van carries seven with four large suitcases or eight small. Golf bags and skis fit in the van.

Blairsville about $212 sedan or $253 van. Hiawassee about $221 or $264. Clayton about $230 or $275. Plan on a little over two hours of driving from any of them.
Is there an airport shuttle from Helen to Atlanta?
There is no scheduled shuttle from Helen. Jim is a private driver: door to door from your cabin or home, booked ahead, with a flat fare in writing. No shared van and no other stops.
How early should I leave Helen for a flight out of Atlanta?
About four hours before a domestic departure and five before international. That covers the hour and 50 minute drive plus Jim's two or three hours at the airport. Put your flight time in the booking form and it works out the pickup.
What if my flight is delayed?
Give Jim your flight number and he tracks it. He plans pickups about 40 minutes after a domestic landing and about 90 minutes after international. If the plane is late, he is late with it. No waiting charge.
Does Jim do airport pickups late at night or early in the morning?
Yes. Pickups between midnight and 5:00 AM add $30. Everything else is the normal fare, and it never surges.
